Career Opportunities

You can look forward to exciting opportunities in the vibrant biomedical and healthcare industries. Biomedical Technology graduates can be employed as medical technologists in hospitals, private diagnostic laboratories and clinical research centres. You are also capable of handling the sales and marketing of clinical laboratory equipment and consumables. Graduates from the Pharmaceutical Science & Technology option can competently contribute as process technologists, laboratory technologists or technical executives for regulatory affairs in pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. You can also look forward to rewarding opportunities in pharmacy practice as pharmacy technicians in hospitals, polyclinics or retail pharmacies or choose to become a technical sales and marketing personnel for pharmaceutical companies. Graduates aspiring to be entrepreneurs could venture to set up their own retail pharmacy units.

All graduates with a strong desire to pursue higher degrees may further their studies at university level, and contribute in further research or in academia, serving as mentors to aspiring scientists.
